Todd Boehly is confident Mauricio Pochettino will get Chelsea back on track.

The Blues have had a year to forget as they finished 12th in the Premier League and sacked two managers – Thomas Tuchel and his successor Graham Potter.

Club legend Frank Lampard failed to get Chelsea back on track when returned as the interim manager winning just one of the 11 games he oversaw.

In April, talkSPORT revealed that Pochettino had agreed to become the London clubs' next full-time boss, but it wasn’t made official until May 29 and he won’t start his new gig until July 1.

The former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain manager comes with a massive reputation and will be confident of getting the best out of a group of talented players who have been underperforming for far too long.

Boehly clearly has every faith his latest appointment is the right one as he recently predicted the 51-year-old Argentine coach will do big things at Stamford Bridge.

The American bumped into a Chelsea fan while in Saudi Arabia and he uploaded a video of their meeting which included a Premier League prediction.

“With Toddy Boehly in Riyadh,” Twitter user @Sirshargi wrote in Arabic alongside the clip.

“I promised him, God willing, that we would win the league with Mauricio Pochettino, and God willing, the Lord of the Worlds, the promise will be fulfilled, and O Lord, the coming is all joy and happiness for us fans, pride of London.”

In the video, the excited Chelsea supporter tells Boehly a league title is coming with their new manager, he says: “I promise you that we will get the league with Pochettino.”

Boehly smiled and replied: "Yes, Mauricio is gonna be great."

Pochettino will be keen to bring his own players in to put his stamp on the squad if he’s going to achieve what is expected of him.

N’Golo Kante appears to be on the brink of leaving Chelsea to join Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad on a £100 million per year deal when his current contract expires in the coming weeks.

Brighton star Moises Caicedo is being eyed as his replacement after Sporting Lisbon midfielder Manuel Ugarte decided to join Paris Saint-Germain instead.
