₹47L for kin of man killed in ’18 rd accident

Thane: Kin of a spare part supplier who was mowed down in an accident involving a tourist car in 2018, has been awarded Rs 47 lakh by the Thane MACT. The claimants, widow of the deceased and their five kids, stated in the plea that the deceased was the sole breadwinner. The applicants submitted that the deceased on September 9, 2018, was proceeding on a bike on the Nashik highway for dinner at 2.30am. As it started raining, the victim stopped on the roadside and was crossing the road when a car hit him, leading to his death.
