Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 48.95 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 6.17 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 5.11 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(number of shares traded: 5.03 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 4.17 crore), Ircon Intl.(number of shares traded: 3.05 crore), Zomato(number of shares traded: 1.76 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.72 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 1.38 crore) and YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.28 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:24AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 64.95 points up at 18663.95, while BSE Sensex was up 152.42 points at 62945.3 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 3.09 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.41 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(up 2.23 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.19 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.88 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.83 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.25 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.19 per cent) and Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.19 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
