The Red Devils have been rejuvenated under Erik ten Hag this season, finishing third, winning the Carabao Cup and still having the FA Cup final to play.

However, they will want to be challenging for the Premier League title next campaign and some huge additions are being targeted to compete with rivals Manchester City at the top of the table.

  • Harry Kane will feature prominently in Tottenham’s new kit launch tomorrow, talkSPORT understands.

    Kane has been subject of interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid but chairman Daniel Levy is determined to keep him.

    Making the England captain star of the Nike designed home strip release is a clear message from Levy and the Spurs hierarchy that Kane remains central to their plans.

    Kane’s preference is to stay in England and break Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record.

  • Manchester United have been handed a blow in their pursuit for West Ham captain Declan Rice.

    Danny Murphy has told talkSPORT that Rice is getting close to joining Arsenal despite competition from the Red Devils.

    He revealed on White & Jordan: “I saw him at the golf club last week but I didn’t ask him [about his future].

    “But what I’m hearing is Arsenal and that it’s pretty done. I know Bayern have come in late but I don’t know anything about that.”

  • Manchester United have been handed a blow with Chelsea entering the race for Neymar, according to reports in France.

    French publication, Le10 Sport, claim that the Blues ‘has just contacted PSG to officially open negotiations’ over a transfer for the Brazilian.

    The Ligue 1 side are said to be ‘listening’ to the proposal from Stamford Bridge, with United’s interest dating back to last summer.

  • Manchester United are interested in Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka, according to reports.

    The Red Devils signed Goretzka’s Bavarian teammate Marcel Sabitzer on loan in January but he has now returned to the club after failing to convince Erik ten Hag to turn his stay into a permanent move.

    However, Sky Sports Germany claim Bayern could offload Goretzka to fund a move for West Ham’s captain Declan Rice.

    The report adds that the 28-year-old is not interested in leaving the Bundesliga champions despite falling out of favour under Thomas Tuchel.

    But he is on the radar for United who are watching his situation closely to see if he becomes available.

    Tottenham are reportedly eyeing a possible move for Manchester United captain Harry Maguire.

    Spurs have made checks on Maguire’s situation at Old Trafford and are preparing a swoop for the defender if the club’s new boss Ange Postecoglou is keen to bring him in.

    However, it remains to be seen whether that helps or hinders United’s move for Kane, with the Tottenham striker close friends with Maguire from their time with England.

    The Red Devils were already facing a complicated bid for Kane with Real Madrid preparing an opening offer.

    talkSPORT understands that Madrid are ready to test Tottenham’s resolve to keep the England captain following Karim Benzema’s exit.

  • Jack Butland has joined Rangers on a four-year contract after the end of his loan spell at Manchester United.

    The goalkeeper will officially move to Ibrox from Crystal Palace subject to international clearance.

    The 30-year-old has signed after first-choice goalkeeper Allan McGregor retired at the end of the season. Jon McLaughlin and Robby McCrorie remain under contract.

    “I’m over the moon,” Butland told Rangers’ official website. “The club speaks for itself. No matter where you are in football, you know about Rangers Football Club. This is a huge opportunity for me, and I’m delighted to be here.

    “I feel great and motivated at the age that I am, and I feel excited at what the future holds. Doing that at a club that is equally as passionate about winning and being at the top was huge for me.

    “It’s an important summer for the club and we need to get off to a good start. Getting the work done early is hugely important, so that we’re settled and raring to go when we come back in.”

  • Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri has been linked to Borussia Dortmund.

    According to German outlet HL-1, Dortmund are interested in signing Hannibal if they sell Jude Bellingham this summer.

    Man United will welcome their young midfielder back this pre-season after he spent last season on loan at Birmingham in the Championship.

    However, he may not remain at the club for long, with the German side eyeing a move for the 20-year-old.

  • Manchester United target Kim Min Jae has reportedly said his goodbyes to his Napoli teammates.

    talkSPORT understands that Man United are interested the defender but are yet to agree a deal.

    However, the 26-year-old centre-back has a £52 million release clause in his contract and the Red Devils are considering activating it, according to reports in Italy.

    And the Korean is reported to have already had personal talks with the club while already saying farewell to his Napoli teammates ahead of his move to Old Trafford.

  • Alexis Mac Allister has been given permission to undergo a medical at Liverpool ahead of completing his move from Brighton.

    talkSPORT understands the Reds will pay up to £55million for the Argentine.

  • Rio Ferdinand has named five players that he believes Manchester United shouldn’t have sold.

    Speaking on the Vibe with Five podcast, the Man United legend looked back on the club’s past decisions to sell certain players who were ‘the lifeblood of United’.

    He said: “One of the big things they messed up on… they sold the Da Silva twins [Fabio and Rafael], they sold Welbeck, they sold Chicharito, Jonny Evans, all in a short space of time.

    “They were the lifeblood of United, they all came through the system, all United boys, and that was lost as well.

    “That was a part of what the club had been built on before, people who would come through the academy were integral to everything United stood for.

    “And they were getting rid of those players willy-nilly, I couldn’t believe the club even allowed it.”

    Ferdinand was then asked whether he believes any of those players are still good enough to play for Man United when they left.

    “Yes. Welbeck’s good enough now,” he said. “Chicharito 100 per cent, Rafa and Fabio Da Silva, what they did at United they could’ve done that for the rest of their careers, 100 per cent.”

  • Manchester United’s Amad Diallo is attracting interest from around the Premier League.

    West Ham, Burnley and Everton are all pursuing loan or permanent deals for Amad, according the Daily Mirror.

    United believe they could reach a deal for Kane worth around £100million, but are also looking at other targets.

    Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani and Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos are two alternative names for the club this summer.
