Over 350 cycling enthusiasts participated in the Cyclothon held on Sunday

The Department of Environment of Government of Goa through Goa State Biodiversity Board & Goa State Pollution Control Board, and so also Goa Industries Development Corporation & Verna Industries Association, supported by the 7 Cycle Clubs, that is Xaxti Riders, Propedalerz, Sportif Amigos, Slopes & Bends, Panjim Cycling Club, Goa Naval Area, and Vasco Cycling Club, that added the lustre & vibrancy to ourWorld Bicycle Day & World Environment Day Celebration Cyclothon, on Sunday June 4.
For the Cyclothon Event on today, the Youngest Cyclist was 9 yr old Jonah Dionisio Gracias Flor from Margao and the Eldest Cyclist is 81-year-old Wing Commander (Retd) Ajit Singh Guglani from Vasco.
All the Cyclists from Margao, Panjim, Ponda and Vasco, first converged at the scenic Cortalim Ferry Point from where GSBB Member Secretary Flagged of the Group in the presence of GSPCB Chairman Mahesh Patil and GSPCB Member Secretary Dr Shamila Monteiro. This was followed by a tree plantation Drive at the hands of all of the above, where around 50+ local fruit bearing saplings were planted.
