OPINION:
The Department of Agriculture in Ireland is mulling the killing of 65,000 cows per year for the next three years as a means of reducing the country’s total dairy herd by 10% and helping achieve a 51% reduction in climate polluting emissions by 2030.
Well that seems sane.
But why not just drum up a war to kill off the ones who consume cow-based products instead? Go big or go home. And as leftist logic goes: Humans are the real evil destroyers of the planet.
Of course, cow killing sounds a lot nicer than people killing. But don’t underestimate the Democrats’ talent of turning evil into good. This is the party of proud pro-abortion policy, after all. If leftists can kill babies and sleep soundly at night, then think of the good nights’ rest they could get by saving the trees and oceans and salamanders and wealthy elites at the World Economic Forum from those nasty meat-eating, milk-drinking climate killing adults? Off to war with you!
Cows have been a target of the gods of climate change for some time. Their goal is to swap out steak for crickets – or at the least, swap out your steak for crickets. It’s a do as they say, not as they do kind of world.
Bill Gates, for instance, announced in January his investment in an Australian start-up called Rumin8, a company aimed at developing seaweed-based feed for cows so as to decrease the environmental destruction supposedly caused by the beasts’ methane-laced burps. That was just his most recent effort at bovine control.
“Bill Gates: Rich nations should shift entirely to synthetic beef,” MIT Technology Review wrote in February 2021.
And ‘lest we forget, in 2012, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation awarded a grant of $100,000 to All Things Bugs LLC in 2012, for the purpose of researching “Good Bugs: Sustainable Food for Malnutrition in Children.”
Hmm, here’s a thought; why not send Ireland’s cows to the starving children?
And here’s the answer: Because leftists are not really concerned so much with feeding the poor as they are with controlling the world. They’ve discovered that environmentalism is a great way to exert controls – almost as great as COVID – because it gives them the cover of compassion as well as allows them to divide by class.
When poor, Black children suffer asthma, it’s because they’re forced by the White, wealthy cats to live in rat-infested homes that are prone to mold – so taxpayers should foot the bill to buy them better homes. Because it’s the climate, dontcha know.
When Hollywood elites and John Kerry fly around the world to campaign for reductions in flights as a means of slowing the roll of climate change emissions, it’s not hypocritical – it’s humane. Because they care about the future of humanity, dontcha know.
When Greta Thunberg with the angry eyes stands before some of the most intelligent, accomplished, scholarly minds of the world and shakes her magic finger as she scolds “how dare you” – and that, along with a few more garbled utterances, passes as sensible discourse to shut down human development and progress, especially in eeeevil America, where development and progress has brought about great prosperity – well then, that’s all the left needs to claim settled climate science. Not only is Greta for the children, but she, in fact, is a child. You can’t argue with that. It’s for the environment and to save the world and to save all the children of the world, too, dontcha know.
Ireland doesn’t have much of a hunger problem so it’s entirely right and proper that this country becomes the test case of culling cows. Globalists figure if all goes well, if the outcry isn’t so great as to stop the cow-killing in its tracks, then perhaps they’ll try Canada next. After all, Justin Trudeau was highly successful in illegally freezing the bank accounts of COVID vaccine-protesting truckers a year or so ago, all for the health and safety of society. Imagine what he could do with the nation’s 10-plus million beef and dairy cattle, only this time for the health and safety of the entire planet.
From the virus to climate change: It’s been the Great Reset plan of global bureaucrats all along. “Greener, smarter, fairer” has been their catchphrase for rebuilding, post-COVID. Like all things leftist, though, their language is opposite their meaning. When they say fair, they mean unfair, and in a socialist, redistribution, government-controlling kind of way.
But messing with the world’s food supply will bring a level of chaos that’s even more desperate than the fears brought by the COVID virus. And that is just the recipe the leftists need to win their war against independence, freedom and individual liberty.
