Ashapura Minechem(down 5.15%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 1.29%), Coal India(down 0.83%), Aro Granite Industries(down 0.50%), Pokarna(down 0.17%) and Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 0.12%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 5.15 points up at 18599.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 5.41 points at 62792.88.
UltraTech Cement(up 2.89%), Divis Laboratories(up 2.18%), Grasim Industries(up 1.84%), Axis Bank(up 1.82%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.77%), Tata Motors(up 1.74%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.61%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.19%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.13%) and Bajaj Finserv(up 1.11%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra(down 2.08%), Infosys(down 1.95%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.72%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.13%), Wipro(down 1.05%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.99%), HCL Technologies(down 0.85%), Coal India(down 0.83%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.61%) and Nestle India(down 0.59%) closed in the red.
