UP: Police arrest Atiq Ahmed’s close aide from Prayagraj, action to be taken under gangster law

Police arrested Atiq Ahmed’s close aide Mohammad Saud from Prayagraj on June 05. Saud is accused in a case of extortion. He is a history-sheeter and has been involved in various crimes. The police are also looking to arrest his friend and partner who is on the run. According to the police, his partner has a long history of committing crimes and will be tried under the gangster law. “We have arrested Atiq Ahmed’s close aide and Samajwadi Party leader Mohammad Saud from Prayagraj. Saud is accused in a case of extortion. He is a history sheeter and has been involved in various crimes. The police are also looking forward to arresting his friend and partner who is on the run. Action against the accused will be taken according to the criminal law,” said Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, SP, Kaushambi.
