Honda Cars India today finally unveiled its first mid-size SUV, Elevate in the Indian market. The company will commence the bookings for the Honda Elevate in July 2023 and the price will be announced in the festive season. Moreover, the company also announced that it is working to introduce five SUV models by 2023 in the Indian market, including the Honda Elevate. Further, Honda states that it aims to become all-electric globally by 2040.
Honda Elevate SUV: DesignThe Honda Elevate comes equipped with a large grille with a Honda logo integrated into it, sleeker-looking LED headlamps and tail-lamps, and chrome surroundings all around. Some key exterior features of the SUV include 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels with flared wheel arches, functional roof rails, and a sharkfin antenna.

Honda Elevate SUV: DimensionsHonda Elevate measures 4,312mm in length, 1,790mm in width, and 1,650mm in width. It has a wheelbase of 2,650mm and a boot space of 458 litres.
Honda Elevate SUV: InteriorMoving on to the interior, the Honda Elevate will come equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone integration, a 7.0-inch TFT digital instrument cluster displaying information like speedometer, ODO, and ADAS functions, and a rearview camera.
Honda Elevate SUV: Engine Under the hood, the Honda Elevate is powered by a 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC engine that churns out 119 hp of maximum power and 145 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with two gearbox options - a six-speed manual and a CVT Automatic gearbox.

Honda Elevate SUV: Safety featuresIn terms of safety, Honda Elevate has received ADAS functions, including Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist System, adaptive cruise control, Road Departure Mitigation System, Lead Car Departure Notification, LaneWatch, Vehicle Stability Assist, and Emergency Stop Signal. Standard safety features include Hill Start Assist, rear parking sensor, and rear seat reminder.
Honda Elevate SUV: Expected price and rivals The Honda Elevate price in India is likely to start from Rs 10.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and Toyota Hyryder in the Indian market.
