Apple revealed iOS 17 at its 2023 Worldwide Developers Conference on Monday, detailing updates such as its new Check-In safety feature and Live Voicemail transcription

However, not all iPhones will be able to take advantage of these new functions. Some of Apple's older phones are being left out of the great iOS 17 update, most likely because newer, more robust software requires newer, more robust hardware to run it.

  • iPhone 12

  • iPhone 12 mini

  • iPhone 12 Pro

How do I know which iPhone model I have?

If you haven't thought about your iPhone's model since you bought it, it's easy enough to check. Simply open "Settings," tap "General," then tap "About" to see your phone's Model Name and which version of iOS it's currently running.
