Stolen material worth ₹9cr recovered from gang in Surat

Nagpur: City police’s crime branch busted a Haryana-based gang involved in stealing consignments of laptops, computers, accessories and monitors worth ₹6 crore. Two containers and a car collectively worth ₹3 crore were also seized.
After the gang was rounded up from Surat, the stolen consignments were recovered.
Sub-inspectors Anil Ingoley and Deepak Thakre arrested Asif Masood Khan, 27, Mohd Mustafa Khan, Saheej Safi Khan and Harish Khan from Surat. The police team was assisted by cyber expert Balram Zadokar.
Additional CP Sanjay Patil, accompanied by DCP Crime Mumakka Sudarshan, said the consignments were despatched from Bengaluru for Delhi. “The gang had emptied the containers at MIDC and transferred the consignments to another heavy vehicle before heading to Surat. They had left the container coming from Bengaluru at Pardi,” said Patil. tnn
