Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading higher on Monday at 10:29AM

Shree Renuka Sugars(up 3.25%), Dharani Sugars & Chemicals(up 2.42%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)(up 1.98%), Bannari Amman Sugars(up 1.68%), BAJAJHIND(up 1.68%), K.M.Sugar Mills(up 1.53%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(up 1.36%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(up 1.26%), Mawana Sugars(up 1.05%) and KCP Sugar & Industries(up 1.04%) were among the top gainers.

EID Parry(down 0.87%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 84.0 points up at 18618.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 321.07 points at 62868.18 at around 10:29AM.

Mahindra & Mahindra(up 2.42%), Axis Bank(up 2.25%), Adani Enterprises(up 1.8%), Grasim Industries(up 1.4%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.24%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.12%), Britannia Industries(up 1.11%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.04%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.04%) and Tata Motors(up 1.03%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 1.19%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.97%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.83%), Asian Paints(down 0.63%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.56%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.5%), JSW Steel(down 0.29%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.28%), Coal India(down 0.26%) and Nestle India(down 0.25%) were trading in the red.
