Jaipur: JMC-Heritage mayor Munesh Gurjar on Sunday instructed officials to conduct cleaning drives in all wards with development communities from that area to increase public participation.
On Sunday, one such cleaning drive was conducted in Ward 35 of Civil Lines constituency, which continued for almost four hours and saw huge participation from residents. The campaign started from Shyam Marg, Shastri Nagar, Rajaveer Apartment and went on till Kamdhenu Shopping Centre in front of Brass Factory.
“Officers must start joint intensive cleaning campaign program in all the wards with the development committees. Today, a large number of local women also participated in the cleanliness drive. If the citizens become aware in this way and work closely with the municipal corporation then we will be able to improve the cleanliness system of the city in a better manner,” said the mayor.
The mayor also praised the development work being done by the office bearers of Shyam Marg Banipark Vistar Yojana Development Committee. On Sunday, the mayor also promised the public to give big pots to increase the greenery in the area.
Manoj Mudgal, the local councillor said, “Ward 35 has been doing good work in JMC Heritage and the development works being done here are appreciated in the entire city of Jaipur.”
