Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.29% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:14AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 2.25 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.0 per cent), DLF(up 0.43 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 0.17 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 0.06 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 3.14 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.28 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 0.81 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.39 per cent) and SOBHA(down 0.13 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.29 per cent at 489.45 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 84.65 points at 18618.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 304.28 points at 62851.39.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Zomato, Reliance Power, YES Bank and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of The Hi-Tech Gears, Talbros Auto, Sky Gold, RPP Infra Proj and Hardwyn India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Shekhawati Poly, Quicktouch Technolog, Power & Instrument, Silly Monks Entertai and Advitiya Trade India hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
