NEW DELHI: The city experienced a cloudy and humid Sunday with several parts of the city recording light rain in the morning, affecting city's daytime temperature.
According to the weather department, a fresh western disturbance may keep the temperatures under control in the region for at least next two to three days. However, the day temperature will gradually increase through the week.
"The western disturbance is showing its affect. The city on Sunday morning received light rainfall which led to the drop in the maximum temperature. There are chances of light to very-light rainfall on Monday and possibly Tuesday as well," said Kuldeep Srivastava, scientist at IMD.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature at city's base station was recorded at 33.7 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.8 degrees Celsius. The humidity on Sunday oscillated between 87 to 52%.
