Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 4.76%), Sikko Industries(down 1.25%), Agro Phos(down 1.00%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.80%), Paradeep Phosphates(down 0.74%), Bohra Industries(down 0.73%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.68%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.41%) and KRISHANA(down 0.14%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 59.75 points up at 18593.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 240.36 points at 62787.47.
Mahindra & Mahindra(up 4.03%), Axis Bank(up 2.67%), Tata Motors(up 1.93%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.51%), Grasim Industries(up 1.4%), Tata Steel(up 1.3%), SBI Life(up 1.07%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.06%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.02%) and UPL Ltd(up 0.97%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 1.4%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.22%), Asian Paints(down 1.16%), Nestle India(down 0.96%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.9%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.77%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.76%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.71%), Eicher Motors(down 0.71%) and ITC(down 0.62%) closed in the red.
