Mysuru: Members of Mysuru Jana Jagruthi Vedike and Samyukta Kisan Morcha will hold a protest in Mysuru on Monday, to extend moral support to women wrestlers of Delhi who are protesting against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Speaking here on Sunday, vedike convener Ugra Narasimhegowda said that the activists will take out a protest rally from Ramaswamy Circle till the office of the deputy commissioner, to prevail upon the Union government to look into their demand. He accused the Union government and PM
Narendra Modi of remaining silent over the issue, without any regard for women wrestlers who brought laurels and fame to the nation.
“The PM must uphold the women’s honour and dignity by ordering a probe into the allegations against Brij Bhushan Singh,” he demanded.
