Apple WWDC 2023 Highlights: Apple introduces a new MacBook Air alongside new operating systems for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. Apple also shoed off pricy mixed-reality headgear called the Vision Pro at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, challenging Facebook-owner Meta in the mixed-reality market. The much-awaited headset has been in development at Cupertino-based Apple for years, and will focus on gaming, streaming video and conferencing, as well as health and fitness.

Vision Pro: Built for every face
The Vision Pro features a glass front and an aluminum frame, containing sensors, cameras, the display, and a computer that Apple says is cooled with a fan. The mixed-reality headset has a strap made of cloth-lined material. Vision Pro flexes easily to fit different face shapes and head sizes. It comes with Zeiss to create a custom optical inserts that magnetically attaches to the lenses of people who wear glasses.

Apple WWDC 2023 Live: Bring virtual world to your reality through Vision Pro
Apple uses a system called EyeSigh that features user's eyes on the display of the headset. When the user is in full VR mode, a glowing screen will appear to inform that the user isn't available. Vision Pro works on passthrough video that allows them to see the real world in full colour while letting them project 3D content in their real space. Making re-watching of old videos a deja vu experience in itself.
