Salem cracker unit blast: Death toll rises to five from three

Salem: Two more people injured in the cracker unit blast at Sarkar Majira Kollapatty on the outskirts of Salem on June 1 died without responding to treatment at the Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital (SGMKMCH) on Saturday, taking the death toll in the incident to five.
The deceased were A Prabhakaran, 31, and V Mohana, 38, both from Sarkar Majira Kollapatty. Prabhakaran and Mohana were among the six people who suffered severe burn injuries in the incident. TNN
