Exporters discuss ways to tap mkts

Ludhiana: In a bid to encourage new entrepreneurs to explore the field of exports and to boost the business of existing exporters in the city, the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (Cicu) organised a workshop on tapping international buyers at its Focal Point head office. Cicu president Upkar Singh Ahuja said, “Punjab’s industry is capable of making profitable and high-quality products. Recently, Cicu set up an export helpdesk to guide the industry about how to start exporting and how to find international customers. Our helpdesk will help the industry by providing necessary information to start an export business.” During the session, Swarn Dhiman, director, corporate affairs, Cicu elaborated upon market research, approaches to target the right market and products, market analysis and unmet demand, free trade agreements, pricing. etc. tnn
