AHMEDABAD: Due to the impact of cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan and neighbourhood, the city experienced breezy atmosphere on Saturday with maximum temperature 1.6 degrees lower than normal at 39.4 degrees celsius.
The minimum temperature was 1.4 degrees higher at 29.1 degrees.
The forecast mentioned chances of light thunderstorm with lightning and surface wind of 30-40kmph accompanied with light to moderate rain in Banaskantha, Ahmedabad, Anand, Dang, Tapi and Bhavnagar on Sunday.
While the rains might not be experienced on Monday to Wednesday, several parts in north Gujarat, parts of Saurashtra and Kutch may experience strong surface winds, mentioned forecast by India Meteorological Department (IMD).
'No large change in maximum temperatures during next 4-5 days very likely,' mentioned the forecast. Surendranagar with maximum temperature of 41.3 degrees celsius was the hottest weather station, followed by 41.1 degrees in Rajkot, 40.5 degrees in Amreli, and 40.3 degrees in Bhuj among others.
