Five people were treated for injuries Saturday evening as a result of an apartment fire in Aurora, fire officials said.

Firefighters were able to stop the spread of the fire, which was in the second and third stories of the Park Place at Exposition residential building.

One person was hurt seriously, and two others also were transported to a hospital, according to Aurora Fire Rescue. Two people with minor injuries were treated at the scene and released.

The Red Cross was assisting because people in as many as 60 units in the complex on Exposition, a block east of Havana, may have been displaced by the two-alarm fire.
