Telangana: 15-year-old held for rape of minor girl

HYDERABAD: A rape case was registered by Mailardevpally police against a 15-year-old boy for allegedly raping a minor girl.
Mailardevpally police said that the victim, 14, was taken to Bharosa centre and her statement was recorded. Based on the complaint given by the victim's mother a case was registered under section 376 (Rape) of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
The accused, employed as child labour at a biscuit factory, allegedly lured the victim. He took her to another portion of the building where the two live. When he was allegedly abusing the girl, her parents caught him. Following the incident, a protest was staged demanding action against the minor boy. Fearing trouble, Cyberabad police acted swiftly and took action.
