Maoist leader carrying Rs 5 lakh reward killed

GUMLA: Security forces on Friday gunned down a wanted CPI (Maoist) operative, Lazim Ansari, at Semla Bartoli Bhagat Kona forest under the Chainpur police station of Gumla district on Friday evening.
Ansari, an area commander of the outlawed outfit, carried a bounty of Rs 5 lakh on his head. Police said Ansari was a resident of Kotam village under the sadar police station limits of Gumla district. On Thursday, one Rajesh Oraon, a sub-zonal commander of the Maoists, was killed in a separate encounter. tnn
