LUCKNOW: In yet another instance, an office resembling a 'health department' was used to fleece innocent people on the pretext of jobs in Lucknow and 15 other districts of the state.
It was revealed after UPSTF busted the gang on Friday. STF claimed that the gang fleeced 170 innocent people on pretext of jobs.
STF, Deputy SP, Dharmesh Kumar Shahi, said that one Ramashrey was arrested who was operating an office of Manav Vikas Swasthya Seva Sansthan in D-51 Bhagwati Tower, Vibhutikhand.
"His other aides had managed to flee but we are working on the gang and will arrest them soon," he said. "The arrested accused told during interrogation that he and Kamlesh Yadav were running a fake organization in the name of Manav Vikas Swasthya Seva Sansthan. For whose promotion we have also created a fake website named IndianHealth.in. We call this organization a unit of the health department to the candidates and collect money by luring them to appoint the posts of district coordinator, district manager, block health officer," he disclosed.
"To appear genuine to the candidates, they provided them with fake and forged appointment letters and also organized their training for two months in Lucknow and other districts, after which they abscond with all the money," said Shahi. Shahi said that Ramashrey, who is an MA in political science, did not get a government job so got in touch with Kamlesh Yadav. Sources in the STF added that the accused used to charge from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 10 lakh depending upon the post.
Recently, STF had busted a gang that used to fleece innocent people on the pretext of jobs in the postal department of Lucknow. Prior to this in last November, the Hazratganj police had busted a job racket which was operated from income tax office premises, duping 12 youths on the assurance of offering jobs to I-T inspectors.
