Woman kills her kids, self in Rajkot

RAJKOT: A 26-year-old woman and her two children - three-year-old son and six-month-old daughter - were found dead in their house in Ambedkar Nagar on Friday morning. According to police, the woman first strangled her children before she hanged to death.
Police detained Sagar Parmar, husband of deceased woman Manisha and booked him for abetment of suicide and subjecting the woman to cruelty. Before taking the extreme step, Manisha recorded a video holding her husband responsible for the suicide and the death of her two children. In the video that has gone viral on social media, Manisha is heard saying that she was ending her life because of constant harassment and violent abuses by her husband.

In the incident, a 26-year-old woman and her two children - three-year-old son and six-month-old daughter - were found dead in their house. According to the police, the woman first strangled her children before she hanged to death.
Police detained Sagar Parmar, the husband of the deceased woman Manisha and booked him for abetment of suicide and subjecting cruelty on his wife and started investigation.
Before taking the extreme step, Manisha recorded a video holding her husband Sagar responsible for the suicide and the death of her two children. In the video that has gone viral on social media, Manisha is heard saying that she was ending her life because of constant harassment and violent abuses by her husband. She also accused Sagar of cheating other women and taking money from them.
Following the incident, Manisha's brother Girish Somaiya (30) lodged a complaint against Sagar with the Malviyanagar police station. Somaniya stated that Manisha and Sagar got married in 2018.
On June 2 morning, Somaiya got a call from his cousin Ashok Sindhav that Manisha had hanged herself to death and killed her two children at her residence. Somaiya rushed to her house with other family members. Later, he also came across Manisha's video which had, by then, gone viral.
Sources said that a week ago Manisha had told her parents that she was fed up with Sagar's harassment and could not tolerate it any more. She had also hinted at ending her life. She had left Sagar and gone to her parental home. But her parents sent her back saying that there were problems in all households.
Interestingly, Manisha also mentioned the incident of her parents sending her back to Sagar in her last video. However, she categorically stated that her parents were not to be blamed for her death.
