Ranchi: Jharkhand governor C P Radhakrishnan presided over a function at
Raj Bhavan in the state capital on Friday to mark Telangana Statehood Day.
Speaking on the occasion, Radhakrishnan highlighted the contribution of Telegu language and its writings to the country’s freedom movement. “Telangana is a state with rich cultural heritage and has played a key role in the country’s development,” he said.
Later in the day, Radhakrishnan attended a function organized by the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) to mark the women industrial unit commissioning ceremony.
“The womenfolk of the country are performing exceptionally well in the spheres of policing, administration, science, politics and others. The participation of women demonstrates the changing face of the country,” he said.
