150 beds have been arranged, ambulances deployed at accident spot: Bhadrak DM on Coromandel Express mishap

In a tragic incident, an express train and a goods train met with an accident in Balasore on June 02. Around 10-12 coaches of Coromandel Express derailed near Bahanaga Railway station and ‘infringed’ into the opposite track. Another train coming on the same track, side crashed into the derailed coaches of Coromandel Express and also got derailed. According to the latest reports, several people are feared dead and over 300 people got injured in the mishap. Speaking on the same Bhadrak District Magistrate Sidheswar Baliram Bondar said, “At present, we have received 10 patients. We have deployed our ambulances and buses at the accident spot. In District Headquarters Hospital, 150 beds have been arranged.” Also, BJP leader Sanjib Mallick said, “We have taken all the necessary measurements from the district administration’s side as well as from Government’s side.”
