World Environment Day: Plastic clean-up drive tomorrow along Outer Ring Road

Mysuru: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru zone, president Pavan Ranga on Friday stated that as part of the World Environment Day a mega plastic clean-up drive will be carried out on Sunday at 20 places located on the Outer Ring Road area to create awareness about the harmful effects of plastic. The drive will be held between 7am and 9am.
Speaking to reporters, he stated that the idea is to create awareness about the importance of conserving our ecology. Employees of CII-affiliated industries, students, and several NGOs will take part in the drive, he said.
He also informed that on June 3, an ideathon will be held at Infosys for CII members about plastic reuse and bringing down its utilisation.
