Man who fed booze to pups apologizes for inhuman act

VADODARA: The man, who was caught on video forcibly feeding liquor to a stray pup in Gotri area, apologized in writing for his act on Friday. He promised not to harass the dogs in his apartment in the future.
Dipen Tuwar, a resident of Amish Avenue apartment, had filmed the act from his mobile phone on Thursday morning.
TOI reported about the man force-feeding liquor to a pup on Friday following which the cops swung into action. “I met the area’s DCP on Friday and she immediately acted on my complaint. Gorwa police inspector J K Makwana warned the man against harassing the strays and he apologised for his act in writing too,” Tuwar said.
Tuwar said that some men in his locality had been harassing stray dogs, especially the pups. He had confronted them but they instead threatened him. On Thursday, one of the men caught a puppy, pinned it to the ground and fed liquor. Tuwar filmed the act from his house.
“The man has also promised not to pick a fight with us. But he said that he will approach the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) and insist them to remove the stray pups from our apartment as they are damaging some vehicles,” Tuwar said.
