J&K tourism department hosts Dangal Mela

In its effort to put in order the promotional events at Mansar, today, J&K Tourism Department arranged an impressive Dangal Mela together with the regional stakeholders and Dangal Committee. This incident was celebrated with magnificence and revelry and was much valued by the locals and tourists coming here.

It is important to declare here that every year at Mansar, Dangal Mela is arranged and locals take part in this annual celebration with great enthusiasm and fervor.

This celebration was arranged in joint collaborative initiation of the Chief Executive Officer Mansar-Surinsar Development Authority, Directorate of Tourism Jammu, and District Administration Udhampur together with the regional Stakeholders and PRI delegates of the place. Mr. Ved Prakash, the CEO Mansar-Surinsar Development Authority took part in the event along with well-known citizens of the place. The wrestlers from Punjab, Haryana, J&K, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi wrestled to grab the distinguished titles in the middle of loud cheers of the spectators.

Ved Prakash while speaking on the occasion said that the J&K Department of Tourism is committed in its mission to encourage Mansar-Surinsar amongst the visitors mainly the ones visiting Katra, the holy town.

He also mentioned that initiations are being made to arrange greater number of promotional events within J&K and outside so that in huge numbers, outside travelers as well as locals visit Surinsar and Mansar.
