Surat: A vegetable vendor was cheated of Rs 35,000 in the name of Paytm QR code. On April 28, a person approached him introducing himself as Paytm agent and offered to create a QR code for him in Godadara area in Surat. He gave t his mobile phone along with email and pancard for the QR code. The person, however, left stating technical error. On May 7, the vendor got a call from Paytm customer care with Rs 36,111 due. When he checked history, he came to know, Rs 35,000 was transferred to one Mohammad Tariq’s account on April 28. TNN
