NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:29AM(IST)on Friday in a weak market.
Punjab National Bank(up 1.16 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 0.6 per cent), Federal Bank(up 0.52 per cent), State Bank of India(up 0.42 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.29 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bandhan Bank(down 1.12 per cent) and IndusInd Bank(down 0.71 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.12 per cent at 43840.8 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 3.2 points at 18484.55, while the BSE Sensex was down 21.19 points at 62407.35.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, Zomato, YES Bank, Bank of Maharashtra and Coal India Ltd were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Hardwyn India, RPP Infra Proj, Cyient, Salzer Electro and Mankind Pharma hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while DU Digital Global, De Neers Tools, Power & Instrument, Sintex Plastics Tech and Hexa Tradex hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
