Nagpur: From the robust vocals of Parveen Sultana to the strains of Bahauddin Mohiuddin Dagar’s rudra veena, the appreciative audience lapped it all up on day four of the 8th International Convention of Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (Spic Macay) at the VNIT auditorium on Thursday.
Among the youngsters who have converged from various parts of the country for the event was Sriram, a Std IX student from Bangalore, who is also a guitarist. He said, “Spic Macay has opened up a ton of music forms for me to explore. The event has proved to be a very enriching experience.”
Gauri, an invitee from Nagpur, said, “The stature of the line up of renowned musicians is awe inspiring. I never expected something like this would take place at Nagpur, but Spic Macay has made it possible.”
