‘2 airports a boon for tourism’

Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that the Manohar International Airport at Mopa will soon start cargo-handling operations.

Speaking at the sidelines of the interaction with the industry leaders of Goa at Dona Paula on Friday on the occasion of completion of nine years of Modi government, Sawant said that the Manohar International Airport, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, would soon be handling cargo.

The chief minister said that the handling of cargo from the airport will help the pharmaceutical industries in the state, who will then not have to depend on the facilities from the other states.

Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho said that the traffic at the Dabolim Airport has been increasing every passing month and at the same time, new destinations are added through the Manohar International Airport.
