HYDERABAD: A head constable from Cyberabad allegedly injured three persons, including two women, after he tried to run them over with his car.
The incident took place under Shamshabad police station limits. Constable Gyaneshwar and his son Vamsi took objection and assaulted a man who walked past the former’s house to reach his farm.
On knowing about it, the victim’s mother Balamani and her daughter Rupa went to Gyaneshwar house to question him.
Infuriated on being questioned by the women, the constable allegedly assaulted them both.
On seeing this, a local resident Raju and otherstook objection and questioned Gyaneshwar.
This annoyed the constable further, and he threatened to drive his car at the protesters, wherein he ended up ramming both the women and Raju.
Despite, seeing Raju precariously hanging on the bonnet, the constable drove the car for up to 100 metres.
The issue was brought to the notice of Shamshabad police, who registered a case against the constable.
