GURGAON: With light rain and breeze in the morning, the city saw a dip of 1.5 degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature on Thursday. It was recorded at 20 degrees Celsius, compared to Wednesday’s 21.5 degrees Celsius.
The day turned sunny after noon and the city did not receive any rainfall after that. The maximum temperature saw a slight rise — it was 33.3 degrees Celsius on Thursday, from 31.4 degrees the day before.
Gurgaon’s maximum temperature is likely to touch 40 degrees Celsius by next Thursday. “As the region is not likely to receive any rain for the next four to five days, there will be a gradual rise in the temperature,” an IMD official said.
The minimum temperature will hover around 22 to 24 degrees Celsius from Friday onwards, and the maximum will be around 38 to 40 degrees Celsius, according to IMD.
This year’s summer months have been relatively less harsh than the previous years due to unseasonal rainfall.

Meanwhile in Delhi, some areas saw drizzle on Thursday. The maximum temperature was 32.7 degrees Celsius, seven degrees below the normal average.
