CME reports 3% increase in ADV in May

- CME (NASDAQ:CME) said Friday its average daily volume in May grew 3% Y/Y to 25M contracts, the highest May ADV in the company's history.
- Interest rate ADV increased 20% Y/Y to 13.9M contracts, while equity index ADV totaled 6M contracts. Options ADV rose 29% Y/Y to 4.9M contracts.
- Energy ADV grew 12% Y/Y to 2M contracts, agricultural ADV increased 38% to 1.5M contracts, and metals ADV was up 30% at 650K contracts.
- Foreign exchange ADV totaled 825K contracts.
