The summer transfer window is now around the corner and Man United will be out to improve their squad as they prepare for a return to the Champions League.

The Red Devils have been rejuvenated under Erik ten Hag this season, finishing third, winning the Carabao Cup and still having the FA Cup final to play.

However, they will want to be challenging for the Premier League title next campaign and some huge additions are being targeted to compete with rivals Manchester City at the top of the table.

  • Bruno Fernandes would love to see Benfica forward Goncalo Ramos join him at Manchester United.

    Speaking to A Bola, Fernandes said: “The best always come in handy, be it Goncalo or another player.

    “He has all the qualities to play in the Premier League, and when I say Premier League I also mean Manchester United. 

    “I think he could become a great player in the coming years, but it’s still not in my hands to decide.

    “Goncalo has all the attributes to play in the Premier League, he is very intense, presses very well and is very good inside the area.”

  • Big news coming out of Paris Saint-Germain this lunchtime and it has been confirmed that Lionel Messi will leave the club this summer.

    PSG manager Christophe Galtier has just announced the World Cup winner will depart at the end of the season.

    “I had a privilege of coaching the best player in the history of football,” he said. “It will be Leo’s last match at the Parc des Princes against Clermont.”

  • Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Rangers are closing in on a deal for Jack Butland.

    Butland joined Man United on loan in January and did not make a senior appearance for the club.

    He’s now set to move on again with Rangers keen while United will need a new back-up goalkeeper.

  • Manchester United defender Phil Jones has thanked the fans for their ‘love and support’ as he prepares to leave the club.

    Jones is set to depart United this summer after over a decade of service at Old Trafford.

    Ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup final clash against Man City, he wrote on social media: “I want to express my thanks to everyone who has shown love and support to me over the last week.

    “I’ve always known how special the United fanbase is but this week has brought home to me how special you all are.

    “I hope you all enjoy the FA Cup final this weekend, I’ll be supporting the lads from the stands and backing them to win just as much as you.”

  • Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has ‘held multiple video calls’ with transfer target Rasmus Hojlund.

    The MEN report that the 20-year-old Atalanta ace is being eyed as a more straight-forward target to Tottenham superstar Harry Kane.

    Ten Hag is a big fan and is it said his agency, SEG International, are looking to acquire Hojlund as a client which would make any potential deal far easier.

    The Denmark international scored nine goals in 32 games for Atalanta this season.

  • Manchester United are set to make a formal approach to Chelsea over Mason Mount imminently.

    Sky Sports report that internal discussions over an offer are continuing and are nearly ready to be proposed to the Blues.

    They add United are looking at several other midfielders and getting a big deal done in that position is a ‘priority’ this summer. 

  • Dwight Yorke believes his old side Manchester United should fight Liverpool for the signing of Brighton’s World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister.

    Speaking with Lord Ping, Yorke said: “I like Alexis Mac Allister, he has some great attributes.

    “He’s a similar player to Christian Eriksen, so that’s probably why Manchester United have not gone for him.

    “Mac Allister would be a great addition to any team, coming off a successful World Cup and he’s been very consistent in the league.

    “I understand why Liverpool are looking to sign him, Manchester United should as well.

    “Liverpool have been struggling in their midfield for a while and they need to refresh that area. They’ve changed their attack but not their midfield.

    “If they can get Mac Allister, it would be a superb addition because it would be a different player to what they have in that team.”

  • Harry Kane will stay at Tottenham if he cannot get a move to Manchester United this summer, The Sun report.

    It is said Kane has no desire to move abroad as he chases Alan Shearer’s Premier League record of 260 goals.

    Spurs would be more open to selling the forward to a club overseas with Bayern Munich known to be huge admirers.

    But the England international sees United as his only viable option.

    And The Sun add that Kane is willing to run down his deal and leave for free in 2024 should United not make a huge bid this summer.

  • Harry Maguire is reportedly in line for a £10million pay-off if he leaves Manchester United this summer.

    According to The Mail, Saturday’s FA Cup final against Man City is likely to be Maguire’s last game as a United player following his £80m switch from Leicester in 2019.

    The report adds that the Red Devils captain – who is set to start on the bench at Wembley – is now worth around £30m due to his age and decreasing contract length.

    The 30-year-old has just two years left on his £190,000-a-week deal, which would expect to be halved at a new club – leaving United to foot a £10m wage bill to shift him permanently.

  • Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing France full-back Benjamin Pavard.

    The 27-year-old is said to be on the move soon and does not want to renew his contract at Bayern Munich when it expires in 2024.

    L'Equipe claim that has alerted United to a potential deal this summer while Barcelona and Inter Milan are also keen.

    The World Cup winner has spent four seasons at Bayern, making 162 appearances and claiming four league titles.

  • First up this morning, Mason Mount looks set to join Manchester United from Chelsea after agreeing personal terms, talkSPORT understands.

    talkSPORT revealed last week how the Red Devils are keen to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.

    Arsenal and Liverpool are also interested in the 24-year-old, but the England international now looks all set on a move to United.

    United are now set to make a formal offer to sign Mount from Chelsea with Erik ten Hag pushing to get the deal done imminently.

    Chelsea, who are open to selling the midfielder with his contract to expire in 2024, are said to value him at £80million but United are confident of agreeing a lower fee.

    The Manchester Evening News claim that the club are now willing to accept bids of around £10million after deeming the winger surplus to requirements.

  • Diogo Dalot has now officially signed a new contract!

    talkSPORT revealed earlier today that Dalot would extend his stay with United and he has now penned fresh terms until 30 June 2028, with an option for a further year.

    Dalot said: “Playing for Manchester United is one of the highest honours that you can have in football.

    “We have shared some fantastic moments over the past five years, and I’ve grown so much and my passion for this incredible club has only increased since the day that I joined.

    “As a group of players, we all feel like we are at the start of a special journey right now.

    “I can assure you that I will dedicate myself relentlessly to helping this group to achieve our aims and make the fans proud of this team.

    “That drive continues this week with everyone intensely focused on preparations for the FA Cup final.”

  • Erik ten Hag has lifted the lid on how much of a role Sir Alex Ferguson has played in his initial success at Manchester United.He told The Times: “After Sir Alex left, the culture changed over the years. One of the biggest qualities Sir Alex had was to have high standards,” the Dutchman said. “I wanted to bring it back in, so that everyone in this organisation lives the highest standards and the football players too.“I talk to Sir Alex regularly. He gives his opinion and I’m happy to have that opinion. With all his experiences and his intelligence it’s really valuable to talk with him. From Sir Alex, I learn a lot because he’s such a legend. It gives me inspiration, how to manage.”

  • Diogo Dalot has agreed a new long-term deal at Manchester United, talkSPORT understands.

    Dalot had been on the wanted list of several big European sides.

    The 24-year-old made 26 Premier League appearances last season and scored once, with an additional goal in ten Europa League outings.

    United only triggered an option to extend Dalot’s original deal until 2024 in March but the club have now moved to secure his long-term future.

    The former Porto defender has established himself as United’s first choice right-back, ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the pecking order.

  • England Women have called up a Manchester United quartet for the World Cup this summer.

    Goalkeeper Mary Earps, midfielders Ella Toone and Katie Zelem as well as forward Alessia Russo will all be on the plane.

    “I have huge belief in this squad and we’re very fortunate to be selecting a fantastic group of players to travel to Australia,” said England Women manager Sarina Wiegman.

    “We know we will face tough challenges from strong teams, and we will have to be competitive from the first match on 22 July. We will do everything to be at our very best again this summer.

    “It is important the players get some well-deserved time to rest and recover over the next few weeks before we start the final preparations to get them ready.

    “We learned a lot of positive lessons about how to get the players fit, fresh and ready from the EURO last summer and we know what we have to do to make sure we hit the ground running in the right way when the tournament starts.”

  • Dimitar Berbatov has shared his belief that Manchester United target Harry Kane will stay at Tottenham this summer.

    He told SPORTbible: “He’s still there as someone being linked to United and probably will be all summer long. We’re going to watch another soap opera, probably. But I think he’s gonna stay at Spurs because his legacy there now is too big. His legacy is enormous.

  • Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand wants Amad Diallo to be given a chance next season following his successful stint at Sunderland.

    “He is an interesting one,” Ferdinand told the Vibe with Five podcast. “He has got talent there is no doubting that. You can see the talent he has got but you can see he wasn’t robust enough at the time.

    “But that loan at Sunderland, he left that place a hero, an absolute god. He plays on the right-hand side too, a problem position for United.

    “I know Antony has come in and done well but he is someone you can look at and say can he add something a bit different? I would like to see him given another opportunity.

    In a tweet, the Red Devils legend accused the Glazer family of unprofessional behaviour as the battle between Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe to take over ownership continues to rumble on.

    Neville claimed that the current unpopular Glazer owners aren’t going to announce anything on the ownership until after the FA Cup final.

  • Manchester United are looking to hijack Mauricio Pochettino’s first Chelsea transfer.

    A Bola now report that United have entered the race to sign Sporting Lisbon star Manuel Ugarte, who has been top of the Blues wishlist this summer.

    Ugarte is said to favour a move to Stamford Bridge but United also face competition from Paris Saint-Germain for the Uruguayan.
