A man has been taken into custody after an incident that triggered a lockdown at a King Soopers in Gunbarrel on Monday.
Dionne Waugh, a spokesperson for the Boulder Police Department, said at 2:45 p.m. Monday, police received a call about a man with a gun who was inside a car in the store’s parking lot. The store is located in the 6500 block of Lookout Road. Officers responded and placed the grocery store on lockdown while they investigated.
According to Waugh, the police took the man into custody, and no one was injured. Officers found two firearms inside the car, and the man was charged with DUI and prohibited use of weapons.
