Odisha: Commissionerate Police adds drone power to maintain law & order in Bhubaneswar

The commissionerate police inducted a high-performance GPS-enabled advanced drone to maintain law and order, surveillance, and crowd management in Bhubaneswar.Speaking to ANI, DCP Bhubaneswar, Prateek Singh said, “The police have inducted a GPS-enabled advanced drone, which can fly high as 500 meters and fly up to 5 km from the point of the control stick. The drone is effective in surveillance and can take high-resolution aerial footage.” “If we anticipate rush, traffic congestion, or anything involving crowds that needs an aerial watch, we will use drones over particular areas. In some cases of crime investigation also, drones can be used,” DCP said.
