Chelsea transfer news LIVE: Atalanta forward targeted, Mount agrees Man United terms, Colwill bid rejected

Keep up to date with all the latest transfer news, gossip and rumours from Chelsea in talkSPORT's live blog.

New Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino will have to hit the ground running once the summer window officially opens after inheriting a mess at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea finished a pitiful 12th in the Premier League - their lowest since the 1993/94 season - following a series of errors on and off the pitch.

Pochettino will be keen to bring his own players in to put his stamp on an already oversized squad but equally that may mean several high-profile stars could be on their way out.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “He’s got two options. One, do as he’s told, and one to do what Chelsea allow him to do.

“If they want to retain him in a happy frame of mind, they will find a solution that makes him comfortable with his financial situation.”

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “It didn’t work for him at Chelsea.

“15 goals in 44 games. That’s not bad, but the level he plays at, he knows he should be scoring more.

“He wasn’t getting the service. I remember him throwing his arms up in the air and having a go at the other players.

“They didn’t play to his strengths and didn’t put enough crosses in.

“I think they should (try to include him), but I don’t think Chelsea will have him back.”

  • Chelsea are monitoring Moises Caicedo this summer ahead of a potential move for the Ecuadorian.

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has already indicated that the midfielder will be allowed to leave the south coast this summer despite signing a new contract earlier this year.

  • Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s move to AC Milan is edging closer.

Reports in Italy suggest the Englishman has agreed to make the move from Stamford Bridge to the San Siro this summer.

  • Dujon Sterling has revealed why he settled on a move to join Rangers from Chelsea.

He told the club’s website: “I got to speak to the gaffer straight away, I had a lot of clubs in for me but as soon as he gave me the proposal of what he wanted to do I left that meeting and I said yeah, I’m signing here.

“I wasn’t expecting to make my mind up about my future this quickly but what he proposed to me was everything that I need. We were on the same wavelength, he believes in me and I believe in what he is trying to do as well so it was a no-brainer for me.

“It was how much passion he has to win, how much he wants to see players succeed and how much he believes in my ability as well. He wants everyone in this team to be on the same page and I think that is important especially if you want to be winning titles like this club really wants to do.”

“They’ve been linked with lots of players but the one who would excite you is Kane.

“I think Rice would be a decent signing. But in terms of the excitement and a goalscorer, you’d go all in for Kane but can you see Spurs selling to Man United? Very, very difficult.”

“On the ball, technically, not very good.”

“[Mykhailo] Mudryk, a very poor season, zero goals in the Premier League.

“I think he will be better next season, but this season he has to be in that flop team of the season.

Questioned whether he would start Lukaku over the Brazilian, the former Sunderland star remarked: “Do you know what? He would get us more goals than Gabriel Jesus.

“What Gabriel Jesus did at Arsenal [this season] was brilliant, but there were times he would frustrate me because he wasn’t in the box enough.

“There were times the ball would flash across the box and no one was in there – he’s on the edge of the box. But Lukaku, I know he’s in there.”

  • Chelsea star Kai Havertz has been linked with an audacious move to Real Madrid.
