4 dead as 2-wheeler gets stuck under SUV, dragged 100m

LUCKNOW: An overspeeding SUV with a drunk man on wheels knocked down a scooter, killing four of a family, including two minors, near Gulacheen temple area late Tuesday night, reports Pathikrit Chakraborty.
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath directed officials to provide all possible help while taking action against the accused. "Around 2am, the family on a non-gear scooter were passing by the Gulacheen temple when an overspeeding SUV hit them. The scooter got caught under the SUV and was dragged up to 100 metres from the place of accident," said DCP North Zone, Qasim Abidi.
"The family trapped under the SUV were pulled out by passers-by but by then their bodies had been torn to pieces," eyewitnesses said. Abidi said the SUV driver identified as Rajendra Kumar Pal was arrested.
