East Singhbhum admin forms teams to streamline services at MGMMCH

Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum district administration on Tuesday constituted 14 teams of officials to oversee the day-to-day functioning of 16 departments at the government-run Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College and Hospital (MGMMCH).
The teams formed on the direction of deputy commissioner (DC) Vijaya Jadhav will report the findings to six senior officials of the administration on a daily basis. Each of the six officials will then apprise the DC on issues concerning medical care, administrative services, and daily status of the functioning of the hospital.

The six officials are district transport officer Dinesh Ranjan, additional district magistrate (law and order) Dipu Kumar, special officer of the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) Sanjay Kumar, district cooperative officer Vijay Pratap Tirkey, district agriculture officer Mithlesh Kalindi, and special officer of the Mango Notified Area Committee Suresh Yadav.
The 16 departments at the healthcare centre that are under the watchful eyes of the 14 teams include general services, security services, house keeping, paramedical/technical staff, hospital cleanliness, drinking water, and bio waste disposal, among others. Besides, the teams will keep record of the suggestions and opinions of visitors about the quality of medical care administrated to the patients at both the indoor and the outdoor wards.
Further, Dhalbhum sub-divisional officer (SDO) Piyush Kumar Sinha has issued directions to the hospital management to ensure smooth floor operation.
The SDO visited the hospital on Monday and Tuesday to inspect every ward and enquire about the cleanliness of the hospital, daily attendance of the staff, both medical/paramedical and non-medical service officials.
Henceforth, the private agencies looking after the cleaning and sanitation work at the hospital will get the payment of their service on the recommendation of the floor manager, according to the SDO’s directions.
