Thiruvananthapuram: Health minister Veena George has refuted the allegation that the fire that occurred at KMSCL godowns was a planned attempt to cover up the allegations in the materials purchased during the pandemic.
“Nothing bought during Covid was burnt. All such allegations are baseless. It has been decided to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the fire that occurred in the godowns. An expert committee will conduct the probe, and the principal secretary health will coordinate the investigation,” said the minister.
KMSCL has submitted a preliminary report to the government in this regard. The report issued by KMSCL states that there is no truth in the controversies regarding the purchases made during the Covid have been destroyed in fire. More details into this will come out after the detailed investigation, said George. TNN
