BJP workers take up cleanliness campaign on ghats
Prayagraj: Leaders and workers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by city mayor Ganesh Kesarwani on Wednesday took up cleanliness campaign on the ghats of Ganga and Sangam.
BJP leaders said the cleanliness campaign was being taken up on the lines of Prime Minister’s Swacch Bharat Mission and party is committed to take up cleanliness of the city.
On Wednesday, party leaders took up cleanliness drive at Sangam noze. BJP spokesman Rajesh Kesarwani said, “It’s our moral duty to keep river ghats clean and green. When devotees and pilgirms coming from far flung areas arrive ghats of Ganga and Sangam and witness clean environment, they will be praising city after return to their native towns and states”. He, however, said, “BJP will take up cleanliness of all ghats of river Ganga in the last week of every month”.
He said we will also take up a mass awareness cleanliness campaign in city and also organise rallies in the same regard”.
