BENGALURU: Acting on complaints, Lokayukta police on Wednesday raided offices, houses and other premises of 15 government officials.
The raids were carried in Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Haveri, Shivamogga, Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Koppala, Udupi and Mangaluru.
Lokayukta said the raids were simultaneously carried out in 57 places since Wednesday morning, and the operation is still under way.

In Tumakuru, sleuths raided the house of executive engineer Murthy of Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board at RT Nagar. Lokayukta SP Vali Basha said they found Rs 8 lakh cash and 1kg of gold jewellery.
Principal caught accepting cash for promoting boyLokayukta sleuths on Wednesday arrested the in-charge principal of Basaveshwara Boys' High School, Rajajinagar, after he was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a student's mother.
V Narayana demanded the cash from the mother of a boy, whose class 9 results were withheld for official reasons. Narayana promised to promote the boy to class 10, police said.
