Coimbatore: The city police is planning to conduct awareness sessions for drivers of school buses and vans, and attendants about the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
The workers should be aware of good and bad touch and have basic knowledge of the Act, city police commissioner V Balakrishnan said. “The children spend at least an hour in such vehicles. The workers will land in trouble if they display inappropriate behaviour while interacting with the children. We approached the school education department to sensitize the workers. Police personnel will help school managements conduct the session," he said.
