We may have parted ways with Succession and Barry, but HBO is already prepared to give us a new show to hyperfixate on on Sunday nights: The Idol.

From Euphoria creator Sam Levinson and Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye, The Idol combines pop star satire with a twisted romance. Our gateway into the show's version of the entertainment industry is singer Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp), who is recovering from a nervous breakdown that derailed her last tour. Determined to reclaim her status as the world's reigning pop girl, she finds herself drawn to nightclub owner Tedros (Tesfaye), who ignites a new fire within her — and concerns her entire team. As Jocelyn's manager Dee (Da’Vine Joy Randolph) proclaims in The Idol's latest trailer: "Never trust a man with a rat tail."

The Idol premieres June 4 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and Max(opens in a new tab).
