However, stocks such as SITI Networks, GRM Overseas, Krishca Strapping So, Shigan Quantum Tech and Auro Impex & Chemic, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 23 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 27 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Bajaj Finserv, Kotak Bank, Bajaj Finance, HDFC Life and HCL Tech were among top gainers during the day, while Hindalco, Adani Ent., Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel and Sun Pharma ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 122.75 points up at 62969.13.
Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Airlines, Aquaculture, Apparels and Term Lending Institutions sectors, while selling was witnessed in Learning & Education, Tyres, IT Enabled Services, Packaging and Sugar sectors during the day.
